What to expect at glass blowing session:

Class begins with a guided tour of the Florida Glass House studio. Tom explains the glass making process, while performing a live demonstration. Discussion involves the compatibility of different types of glass and the chemistry of color development. In preparation for the hands-on portion of the class, each guest selects an object to make, as well as the color(s) to use. Tom guides each guest through the creation process of the item. As the pieces are created, Tom explains the cooling process and pick-up or delivery options.

Class size

4 guests per class. (Larger groups can be accommodated by contacting Florida Glass House.)

Guest requirements

Guests must wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing. The studio is not air conditioned and can get warm. Individuals under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
